While basic black and white will always be a timeless wardrobe staple, adding in a few bright colors can spice up your wardrobe and add interest to your look. If you’re looking for creative ways to wear bright colors, keep on reading to scoop some stylish tricks.

If you don’t normally wear a lot of colors, start small with colorful accessories and work your way up. It’s better to start small with one colorful piece and build from there rather than piling up bright accents you’re uncomfortable with. Go for neon shoes and neon handbag from hot pinks, yellows, lime greens, tangerines and such. The great thing about bright shoes and handbag is that they jazz up even the most boring outfit, and they always stand out in a crowd. Just make sure the shade blends well with the rest of your wardrobe. If you may, go for a colorful jewelry perhaps a chunky necklace or bright cocktail ring and wear it with more muted and simpler ensembles. Bright belts and scarves are also a fun way to enliven your look, and they’re very on-trend as well.

You may wear a neon blouse with geometric pants or a neon sweater with boyfriend jeans. When paired with denim, a colorful top has met its perfect match. Just choose colors that work well with your skin and hair. Incorporate one or two of those colors into your wardrobe, and build from there.

Styling a brightly colored top seems to be easier than pulling off skirts in the same color, although the rules are just reversed. Also, the intense color of colored jeans may seem off-putting, but it’s all about the balance and tricks. Black, white, and other neutrals are easy to put together with your bright colored jeans or skirts that you may go for. Also, bright colors like pink, yellow, peach, plum, red goes best with gray while olive green, pumpkin orange, mint green, and baby blue goes well with brown.

So, dress them down with a cardigan or blazer in lighter hues or wear a muted piece with them. A yellow dress goes well with brown accessories while a hot pink jumpsuit goes well with a gray coat. Just have fun to blend colors that you love.

If you’re totally clueless when it comes to putting colors together, find a colorful piece like a dress, jumpsuit, skirt, or blouse and let it choose your color palette for you. Colorful prints are actually easier to wear than another solid color, since the colors in they are broken up in small pieces and usually set against a neutral background. Earth tone prints are perfect with solid earth tones shades like gold, rust, forest green, army green, and chocolate brown while black-and-white prints are terrific with primary and secondary hues like red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and violet.
